Davines Ocean Keeper beach clean up at Qalet Marku

Davines and Beautimport are excited to invite you to our "Become an Ocean Keeper" cleanup event, in collaboration with the Malta Ranger Unit. This event is part of our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and ocean conservation.

Event Details:

• Date and Time: Join us on Monday, 19th August 2024, from 08:30 to 10:30.
• Location: We will meet at the entrance to Qalet Marku, Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, just a short 5-minute walk from the Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq parking area. https://maps.app.goo.gl/EGuG9XezkkkJCU1E7

What to Expect: Our goal is to collect rubbish from this popular swimming area to prevent it from ending up in the ocean. This is an opportunity to give back to our community, protect marine life, and enjoy the beauty of our local environment.

What to Bring:

• Reusable Bottle or Cup: We will have refreshments available, so please bring a reusable bottle or cup to reduce waste. We won't have any spare cups / bottles, it's important to bring your own.
• Comfortable Clothing and Footwear: Dress appropriately for a beach cleanup, including sturdy shoes, a wide brimmed hat and sun screen.

Support and Collaboration: 

This event is organized with the support of the Malta Ranger Unit (VO/2443), who are dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of our local areas. The Malta Ranger Unit will provide the necessary tools —gloves, bags, etc.— and ensure that any litter collected is properly dealt with. Items that can be recycled will be sent for recycling to minimize impact.
