During a paraffin treatment, hands or feet are immersed in a bowl of hot paraffin wax.
Once removed from the wax, the hands or feet are immediately placed in a transparent, protective plastic bag and then in an insulating terry glove. This creates a “miniature sauna”, which traps the heat and releases the beneficial effects of the hot paraffin wax on the skin. At the end of the treatment, the hands or feet are massaged to remove the wax.
